Michele is the creative genius behind Ovation. After a 9-year career as an art director for a Washington, DC-based design firm, she has worked extensively with large companies and non-profit organizations.

She tackles each new project with passion and fresh perspective and has been recognized by the Ozzies, Advertising Federation, Graphic Design USA and PRINT magazine.




Lori Wriston has over 20 years in experience in working with both businesses and nonprofits. She is a cofounder of Valor Ministries, a 501c3 nonprofit to help low-income, homeless/near-homeless, and ex-offenders reach self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life and economic stability. Wriston provided the organization’s vision and strategic direction. She specializes in administrative, fiscal challenges, collaborative solutions, and program development. Before her charitable work, Lori was the Regional Sales Manager for Griffith Energy Services, Inc. She was the first female within the company to lead associates in a six-state region. Her business savvy and sales enthusiasm led the company to its highest sales achievement despite a down economy. Wriston brings her nonprofit expertise to Ovation using her knowledge and skills to help other nonprofits achieve their goals, develop their programs, and implement their strategic vision. Wriston previously served as the board secretary and on the executive committee of Horizon Goodwill Industries and the Washington County’s Local Management Board (LMB). She is also a sought-after keynote speaker, consultant, and mentor drawing on her accomplishments in business and community service. She shares the real life struggles and circumstances she overcame and encourages others to do the


Anna graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications. She worked as an advertising and social media assistant for Inspiring Lives Magazine in Pittsburgh, PA creating social media campaigns, managing marketing materials, and selling advertisements. In addition she has worked as an intern for the Communications and Marketing departments for Visit Pittsburgh and The National Aquarium.  




Crystal worked for The Herald-Mail (Hagerstown, MD) for 10 years as its Lifestyle/What’s NXT editor. She’s an award-winning reporter, editor, designer, photographer and videographer.  She spent an additional nine years at The Journal as the Living/Weekender editor. With previous jobs in the field, she has spent all total nearly 30 years in the business. She also is a freelance writer and has written for local and national publications.

Tracie Hovey CEO



Tracie Hovey obtained a Journalism degree at California State University, Sacramento and her Master’s in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University. She began her career interviewing Oscar-winning celebrities for FilmFestivals.com in the film festival circuit. She has 20 years’ experience producing short documentaries, commercials, managing public awareness campaigns and publicity for nonprofits, corporations, filmmakers, and authors. In 2008, Hovey combined her talents of film and public relations by writing and directing a film “Secrets To Love” which highlighted and brought awareness to a national non-profit. The award-winning, full-length feature film won numerous awards in the film festival circuit and garnered national attention. The film was picked up by PBS, screened on Netflix and in countries around the world. In 2012, Hovey launched Ovation PR & Advertising working with non-profit organizations and start-up companies. The firm branched out to work with films, celebrities, and politicians with offices in California, Maryland, and DC. Ovation has won Best of Washington three years in a row and has also been voted on the Hagerstown Magazine Hot-List.
Hovey is honored to be a board member for Goodwill Industries, The George Washington School of Political Management Alumni, and the Maryland International Film Festival, which she founded, and serves as the Vice President/Executive Director. In 2017, the film festival was honored to be named Top 50 Festivals Worth their Entry Fee by Movie Maker Magazine.



Tracie Stafford has been in marketing, advertising and public relations for over 25 years holding positions from senior manager and communications officer to president and CEO. She has the unique ability to craft and deliver campaign strategies for businesses, events, and individuals that not only attract attention from the desired market, but generate results.  These strategies have included components such as publications, partnerships, social media, media outreach and events to name a few. Clients have included entities such as the California Association for Local Economic Development, The California Downtown Association, Ronald MacDonald House Charities,  The Magic Johnson Foundation,  The Urban League, United Ways of California and Author, Actor and Playwright Brian Copeland who now holds the record for the longest running one man show in San Francisco history. Based in California Tracie, devotes countless hours chairing boards such as and The Sacramento Small Business Board. She also sat on a number of boards including The Birthing Project International, The Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce and was appointed by the Governor to the California Small Business Board.
